Work Health and Safety - Procedures for Visitors and Contractors

The FSC takes safety seriously.

The FSC is committed to creating and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for all its workers (as defined under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011, which includes employees, contractors, trainees and volunteers) and visitors. We request that all visitors, volunteers and contractors  who visit the FSC Office in Sydney, or who attend any of our off-site functions, be aware of our safety and emergency procedures and read the below.

In the event of an emergency in the FSC Office, please follow the instructions of our floor wardens and stair and reserve wardens.

First aid officers are located in the FSC office. For assistance, contact your host or the FSC Reception.

If you are injured or exposed to a dangerous incident you must complete an Incident and Accident Report Form. Forms are available from the FSC Reception, or your FSC host. Completed forms must be submitted to Lee-Anne Dean, the Operations Manager. If required, your host can assist you to complete the form.

While visiting FSC’s offices, visitors and contractors have a duty to:

  • Avoid risks and take reasonable care for their own health and safety;
  • Take reasonable care that their actions or omissions do not adversely affect others’ health and safety;
  • Comply with reasonable instructions given by their FSC Host or Floor Warden that enables the FSC  to comply with the Work Health & Safety Act; and
  • Co-operate with reasonable Work Health and Safety policies and procedures of FSC officers that the worker has been notified of.

For assistance in relation to Work Health and Safety, please contact Lee-Anne Dean, the Operations Manager on 02 9299 3022.
