The Circuit - Committee

The Circuit is designed by a committee of representatives from the FSC Membership who are actively involved in steering the program and its events.

Chair: Scott Davies, RBC Investor & Treasury Services

Scott has worked for RBC for the past eight starting his career in Melbourne in the Transfer Agency department where he worked as a subject matter expert on a project to offshore TA operational processes to an operations hub in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As part of this project he was responsible for process mapping and documenting all operational processes and procedures to ensure they could be adequately transferred to the global operations centre. Following the success of this secondment, he was approached to return to Malaysia in a Managerial capacity in charge of operation desks covering Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong operations. Scott then relocated to Sydney to run the RBC Shareholder Services department taking on management responsibility for the Shareholder Services product, daily client servicing and operational oversight of the global operations centre.

Scott's current role involves the developing strategies to deliver client programs across the suite of clients and products offered by RBC. Scott is currently completing a Masters of Business Administration at the University of Sydney Business School.

Sophia Hangyu, AMP

Sophia Hangyu is a financial services graduate at AMP with over 5 years’ experience in the industry. Prior to her current role, she developed her leadership skills working with AMP's group leadership team and executive office.

During her time on AMP’s graduate program, Sophia has gained experience in the life insurance business, Digital Business as well as Digital and Innovation at AMP Capital. She is passionate about fintech and exploring ways in which new digital technologies can be leveraged to build efficiency and to better serve customers.

Sophia graduated with a Bachelor of Business (Finance and Economics) from Swinburne University of Technology, and completed high school at Ascham School where she was recognised for her major in musical composition.

Dolly Kachwaha, Commonwealth Bank of Australia

Dolly Kachwaha is banker, a problem solver, and a critical thinker. She aims to be an industry expert and a trusted partner for her clients, with a future focused and global perspective.

With a double degree in law and finance from the University of New South Wales, Dolly is currently finishing her first year within the Institutional Banking & Markets division of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

Dolly is passionate about creating positive change in her local and global community through volunteering, and hopes to leverage the unique skills and networks she has created as a part of the financial services industry.

Ellen MacDougal, MetLife

Ellen is a skilled people leader with 10 years' experience in the Financial Services industry across a diverse cross-section of operational functions.

As a result of her ability to think strategically, coupled with an elevated sense of accountability, Ellen has a sustained and proven track record of developing and implementing innovative business practices that simultaneously enhance service experience and deliver operational efficiencies.

Since joining the workforce, Ellen has worked across numerous business units, from service and operations, to analytics, IT and strategic planning. In each of these varied roles, Ellen’s point of difference has been her ability to communicate with those around her in a way that is inclusive to all yet tailored to each individual in audience. These strengths have enabled Ellen to consistently build dynamic and positive team environments that deliver high performance results and drive superior employee engagement.
Ellen’s leadership capabilities have resulted in Employee Engagement scores above 75% over consecutive years.

Chris Verhaeghe, PwC

Chris is currently a Director with PwC Australia and has over 10 years’ experience providing assurance and advisory services to various wealth management and insurance clients in both Australia and Canada.

Other roles held while at PwC include FS Group Leader and FS Operations Committee member which managed the development needs and strategic direction of the Sydney Financial Services Assurance Group.

In addition to holding a Bachelor of Commerce graduating with honours in Accounting and Finance from the University of Manitoba (Canada), he is also a qualified Canadian Chartered Accountant and CPA.
