Michael Potter is the Senior Policy Manager, Economics and Tax at the Financial Services Council.
Michael joined the FSC from the Centre for Independent Studies where he researched tax issues including the Major Bank Levy, the case for corporate tax reductions and the overall tax burden.
Michael has previously worked for the Parliamentary Budget Office, the Federal Department of Treasury, the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, the National Farmers Federation and the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He has nearly 20 years’ experience in economics and tax issues.
Michael has a Master of Applied Economics from the Australian National University, and Bachelor of Economics with honours from the University of Sydney. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
