Dante De Gori | Chief Executive Officer | Financial Planning Association of Australia

A proud CFP® professional, Dante is passionate about advancing the financial planning profession, supporting FPA members through change and building widespread consumer trust. 

Prior to commencing this role IN 2016, Dante spent five years as General Manager, Policy and Conduct at the FPA. During this time, he developed a deep understanding of the complex issues in financial planning and the diverse needs of FPA members.


Marcus O'Sullivan | Head | Affinia 

Marcus O’Sullivan has been a part of the Financial Services Industry for over 20 years and has worked in all aspects of Financial Services from Advice, Licensee Management, Technical Life Insurance, Distribution, Investment and Superannuation administration.

Marcus is currently the Head of Affinia Financial Advisers and has previously held Executive positions in both Retail Insurance Offices, Reinsurers and Dealer Groups, including, Chief Underwriter, Suncorp, Australasian Manager, Income Protection, General Reinsurance, Executive Director, of Millennium3 Financial Services and Regional Manager WA and QLD for TAL.


Phil Kewin | Chief Executive Officer | Association of Financial Advisers

Philip is the CEO of the AFA, Australia’s oldest professional association representing the interests of financial advisers. Founded in 1946, the AFA for over 70 years has provided a pathway to education and professionalism. Through its members the AFA continues to deliver Great Advice to more Australians

With extensive experience in financial services, Philip is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has held a number of senior executive roles across Life Insurance, Investments and Superannuation as well as having owned his own financial advice practice.

 

Nerida Cole | Managing Director – Head of Advice | Dixon Advisory

Nerida has more than 20 years of industry experience and is a respected expert and a regular financial commentator for a series of leading national media outlets, providing her analysis and insights on superannuation, retirement planning, women’s finances and financial planning for executives.

Nerida is involved with a number of committees assisting in policy development. She is a member of the Financial Services Council Advice Board committee and was also on the advisory group for the Minister for Revenue and Financial Services to develop an industry framework for Comprehensive Income Products for Retirement (CIPR).

 

Jason Andriessen | Managing Director | CoreData

Jason has more than 25 years’ experience in financial services with various roles across financial advice, marketing and product management. He spent more than ten years in executive leadership of a significant financial advice licensee and major super fund.

Jason is passionate about helping financial advisers serve their clients in new and better ways. He has measured and seen first-hand the transformative impact of financial advice on clients and their families. Jason is a CFP® Professional, holds a Bachelor of Business, Master of Commerce, and Diploma of Financial Planning.

 

Stephen Glenfield | Chief Executive Officer | FASEA

Stephen has worked in financial services regulation for over three decades, most recently as a general manager within the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA). As well as his managerial responsibilities, Stephen was Chair of the APRA’s Superannuation Industry Group.

He has also worked with the International Organisation of Pension Supervisors, the Victorian Financial Institutions Commission and KPMG.

 

Bryce Doherty | Head of Australia & New Zealand | UBS Asset Management

Bryce was appointed Head of UBS Asset Management in Australia & New Zealand in September 2013. Bryce has responsibility for the management and strategic development of UBS’s Institutional and Wholesale business in Australia and New Zealand, and he reports to René Buehlmann, Head of Asset Management, Asia Pacific.

Bryce was previously Head of Wholesale for Australia and New Zealand, with responsibility for growing the business across advice dealer groups and financial advisers. He joined UBS in May 2011, and prior to this, was the Head of Wholesale at BT Investment Management in Australia – where he worked for 6 years.

 

Charlotte Henry | Partner | Norton Rose Fulbright

Charlotte is a lawyer who has spent 20 years advising the financial services sector in New Zealand, Ireland and Europe, London and now Australia. In addition to private practice, Charlotte was a regulator at the (then) UK Financial Services Authority in 2010/2011, reporting into Dan Waters, policy head responsible for introducing the Retail Distribution Review which was the UK’s focus on the advice sector.

In the decade since then, Charlotte has advised the UK market on the changes introduced by RDR and its unintended consequences including for retail banks, private banks, platforms/distributors, IFA networks and the regulator (including on robo-advice models) and those who provide ancillary services to the advice sector including custodians, asset managers, service providers and, more recently, fintechs/regtechs.

 

Simon Swanson | Managing Director | ClearView

Simon is an internationally experienced financial services executive having worked for over 30 years across life insurance, funds management, general insurance and health insurance. He has successfully led the largest life insurer (CommInsure, Sovereign and Colonial) in three countries and spent half of his career in the Asia Pacific region.

Simon was previously a director of the Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation and former Chairman of ANZIIF's Life, Health and Retirement Income Faculty Advisory Board.
