Spiros is an experienced Superannuation Specialist with a deep and practical understanding of Australia’s superannuation system, developed over more than 35 years in the industry. His career has spanned both the public and private sectors, including 27 years at the Australian Taxation Office, where he held a range of roles—more than 15 of those in management—focused on superannuation policy, administration, and stakeholder engagement. He later spent 8 years at the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA), further broadening his perspective through industry-facing roles that supported the sector in interpreting and applying complex regulatory changes.
Throughout his career, Spiros has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to collaboration. He is known for working closely with regulators, superannuation funds, and service providers to support the successful implementation of new legislation, digital solutions, and policy reforms. His ability to bridge the gap between policy intent and practical delivery has made him a trusted voice within the superannuation community.
Spiros holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and has completed the ASFA RG146 Superannuation Certificate.
