The Board of 11 directors is led by Chairman David Bryant, Pacific Zone Leader and Australia CEO of Mercer (Australia) Limited. Our Board is made up of CEOs running wealth management businesses across Australia.

Hans van Daatselaar

Director Superannuation Implementation

Hans van Daatselaar is the inaugural Director of Superannuation Implementation at the Financial Services Council. Hans van Daatselaar leads the Financial Services Council’s Superannuation Implementation practice, helping funds and their providers navigate regulatory change, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen industry collaboration with regulators. With over 20 years’ experience in superannuation administration and policy implementation, Hans has contributed to key government and industry initiatives, including the ATO Payday Super Working Group, SuperStream Reference Group, and APRA’s Superannuation Data Transformation Strategic Forum. He is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and has completed executive programs at Oxford, INSEAD, and Harvard.

Spiros Koziaris

Superannuation Specialist, Implementation

Spiros Koziaris is a Superannuation Specialist, Implementation at the Financial Services Council. Spiros is an experienced Superannuation Specialist with a deep and practical understanding of Australia’s superannuation system, developed over more than 35 years in the industry. His career has spanned both the public and private sectors, including 27 years at the Australian Taxation Office, where he held a range of roles—more than 15 of those in management—focused on superannuation policy, administration, and stakeholder engagement. He later spent 8 years at the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA), further broadening his perspective through industry-facing roles that supported the sector in interpreting and applying complex regulatory changes. Throughout his career, Spiros has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to collaboration. He is known for working closely with regulators, superannuation funds, and service providers to support the successful implementation of new legislation, digital solutions, and policy reforms. His ability to bridge the gap between policy intent and practical delivery has made him a trusted voice within the superannuation community. Spiros holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and has completed the ASFA RG146 Superannuation Certificate.

David Delaney is a Superannuation Specialist, Implementation at the Financial Services Council. With over 26 years in the Financial Services industry, David brings a comprehensive perspective on business operations and IT service delivery. For the past 15 years, he has specialised in the Superannuation regulatory landscape, developing a deep understanding of legislative frameworks and their practical application across the sector. His work focuses on ensuring that regulatory changes are not only compliant but also efficient in design and execution. His passion lies in aligning regulatory intent with operational practicality and playing an active role in advocacy and consultation with key industry stakeholders. This includes ongoing collaboration with regulators. David brings a strategic, outcomes-driven mindset to all projects, ensuring robust engagement between regulatory bodies and industry participants, and driving innovation in compliance through strong IT service delivery foundations. .
