The FSC Guide to the Prevention of Elder Financial Abuse for financial services institutions signals a first, direct step by the industry towards addressing risks of elder financial abuse. Collating best practice recommendations put forward by industry bodies and expert community groups, as well as regulatory guidance, the Guide aims to address potential risks that may emerge in areas of financial services. This includes wealth, superannuation, advice, financial planning, trustees and life insurance.
